I have been studying alot in the last year or so about religion versus relationship, programs versus worship and tradition versus genuine.
In my studies I have discovered MANY things that shocked me because they are things that I have just always assumed to be true because that's what I have been taught. The more I search out God's Word, the more I am finding that some things highlighted by many of today's preachers and teachers just simply aren't in the Bible. Some are probably tradition and some are probably just assumptions but are we qualified to make assumptions about Christ?
On the flip side of the coin, are we doing what the Bible tells us to? Are we trying to reach a lost world and spreading the gospel or are we so bound up in our own little worlds that we neglect that? Are those we encoutnered effected by the love of Christ or are they infected by who we want Him to be? The infected part could have such dire consequences on generations ahead. I think we are already seeing fruits of this "infection" today.
Just some random thoughts thrown out there for discussion.
